Refund & cancellation policy

This policy applies to once-off website packages and monthly hosting plans bought from Advanced Digital Online Pty Ltd through this website, and forms part of our terms of service.

Monthly hosting

Hosting is month-to-month and billed in advance — you can cancel at any time, with no notice period and no cancellation fee. Once your cancellation is processed, no further payments are taken and your hosting stays active until the end of the billing period you have already paid for; it then simply does not renew. We do not give pro-rata refunds for the unused part of a billing period.

7-day money-back guarantee

Hosting activates immediately when you sign up, which by law (section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act) means the statutory cooling-off right does not apply. In its place we offer this voluntary guarantee: if you are a new hosting customer and we receive your cancellation email within 7 calendar days of your first signup, we will refund your first month in full.

Once-off website work

Amounts paid for once-off website packages and other bespoke project work are non-refundable once work has commenced. Your quote sets out the deposit and payment schedule for the project.

Domains, SSL & third-party licences

Domain registrations, SSL certificates and third-party licences are paid to third parties upfront and are non-refundable. If a free domain was included with your hosting and you cancel, there is no charge or clawback — we simply stop renewing it, it lapses at the end of its current registration period, and you may ask us to transfer it to you before then.

Acceptable-use breaches

Services suspended or terminated for a breach of the acceptable-use rules in our terms are not refunded.

Outstanding balances

Any outstanding balance on your account must be settled before we process a cancellation.

How to cancel

Email support@advanced-digital.co.za from the email address on your account. We will confirm the cancellation within 2 business days — the date we receive your email is the date that counts, including for the 7-day guarantee.

How refunds are paid

Approved refunds are paid to the original payment method through our payment processor, normally within 10 business days.
